I am overcome with love joy and happiness and my heart is overflowing.
In Judaism there are blessings for simply everything. We acknowledge our dependence on G-d for all things and there are special benedictions to meet every occasion, from witnessing the wonders of nature, for every food we eat, from hearing good news, bad news, buying new clothes, fragrances, seeing beauty or ugliness, the list is endless.
There is one very special blessing for those who escape serious danger arising from an illness or a hazardous voyage, particularly escaping from a car accident; Jill, I am thinking of you, and from the dangers and risks of childbirth. It is known as Birchat HaGomel and translates as follows:
“Blessed art thou, O L-rd our G-d, King of the universe, who doest good unto the undeserving, and who has also rendered all good unto me.”

Friends have invited me to spend the weekend with them at their cottage in the beautiful surroundings of the Cotswolds and we are promised wonderful weather too. Can’t be bad! Will be back Sunday evening. Maybe by then Jon & Bridgitte will have agreed on Baby Girl Raven’s name.

What a gorgeous family….my heart melted at Boaz kissing his baby sister. I’ll bet he’s going to be a fantastic big brother and she will absolutely adore him.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh how sweet!!! I’m so glad they chose to have another child. They have the prettiest children! Let us know when they name her 🙂
