THE FIRST THREE

Posted on: 18 August 2006

Purple paint… this sure looks like fun, fun, fun… hope I get to have a go when I’m there. You may have realised I haven’t really grown up. Sorry I couldn’t seem to upload all the pics onto one post, so I’ve had to do it in three postings, but I think you get the idea.

This has been a strange week… lots of my blogging friends are away or busy, busy, busy and the same goes for here; I’ve had a very heavy workload… so sorry mrsbg has been put on hold. I have lots of ideas and know where she’s going, but I have little time. I don’t think I will promote mrsbg on this blog anymore… you’ll just have to visit and check if she’s around.

Mind you, I have re-edited my Dear Vincent letters (the wedding invitation ones) because they were so much fun. I may post them again as I have made them slightly more outrageous and they make me laugh.

I have chatted with Rachel on msn; she is in Isla la Marguerita in Venezuala… she will be home next week so guess my computer time will be curbed and you will hear even less of me… hmm. It really is time she finds her own place. The Israeli contingent are all fine, just had a long long chat with Bridgitte. Jon and Boaz are at the playground and Moriah is fast asleep.

Something funny happened here this week. Jamie was moaning how he had to help clean his girlfriend’s apartment and I said the problem was he treated my home like a hotel and restaurant. He’s never made a bed nor lifted a finger… my fault, not his. Well sheepishly Jamie and Lucy (his gf) invited themselves for dinner and then asked if they could stay over, adding fuel to my ‘hotel’ theory.

The next morning I found my big box of photographs in their room and Lucy asked me about a little cigar box in it…

Wow, that was a trip down memory lane. Pictures of ex boyfriends/lovers/an ex fiance… guess I should put one of “he who I had to obey” then it will be complete. I have lost touch with a couple of guys, Israelis I dated when I lived there in my youth, but there is one in particular, an Israeli I met in London when I was 16. He married and moved to Los Angeles and also has 3 children. We are still in touch and in fact we only chatted last week. I haven’t seen him in years, but hopefully we’ll catch up at the end of the year.

I remember calling him when I was at our place in Florida and hubby was in meetings. I was heartbroken to hear he had got divorced… he was broken up. The next month hubby started going funny on me. My kids are excited thinking we should get back together… I won’t tell you how long ago this was. Most of you weren’t even a twinkle in your parents’ eyes. It will never happen… but the children do make me laugh. He is my age and he dates girls 20 years younger, which means potential dates for me with that age gap are… ?? ~ I don’t even wanna think about it. Even my daughter in law plans to set me up for my week out there… oy vay!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, Shabbat Shalom to my fellow faith, and may peace prevail in your homes and The Whole Wide World… sorry, had to get a little Bob in there.

Scroll down the next two posts for the next six pics in this series……

Now that looks like some serious fun! Busy seems to be the word of the month…take care, Ann 🙂

It does seem like fun!

Memory lane is always fun isn’t it? Well no, not as of late.

Anyway, try to take some time for yourself and relax this weekend Ann.

Take care, talk later! I hope to update my blog soon.

I love the bit when they hose Boaz down!! I’d like to do that to my little son about once a day.

As for your old friend … wow! Keep us apprised, won’t you?

Ah wouldn’t it be great not to have a care in the world and paint yourself purple!!!

Have a wonderful weekend Ann 🙂

Ann, you don’t still have photos of you know who, do you?

Purple Boaz is beautiful.
Shabbat Shalom. I may see you.

Have a wonderful weekend!

He is adorable! Ann i am confused..do you live in England or the US? I have gone back in time and tried dating old high school flames, doesnt work out! i think i will be content with visions of Bobby and fresh batteries! lol, jacky

Jacky: I am English and I live in London. We had a place in Florida because of business. Sadly and unexpectedly he is now my ex husband…
he spent and spends a lot of time there…
he has the place in Florida…
he has the business in Florida…
he has the other woman in Florida :o((

Hey Ann,

My apologies for not being around. I had some kind of virus / infection all this week and spent most of the time asleep. I also continue to have computer problems 😦

Your box of old boyfriends reminded me of Ruby’s ex-files in Happy Accidents. Maybe you’ll run into a sweet if odd guy in the park? 😉

Single women are usually that way by choice, I mean because we don’t just marry any Tom, Dick, and Harry that comes along. I have a friend who is 29 and a beautiful, sweet girl who very rarely dates. People seem to find this so strange and constantly berate her about it. We often talk about it and she says “I know what I want and I’m not going to settle so I don’t want to waste time dating someone I know isn’t right.” That’s my philosophy too 🙂

Oh Finn, I thought you were quiet, but guessed you were writing… you poor thing.. hope you get better real quickly.

yeah… Ruby’s box… good point, except I actually had a soft spot for all the guys in my little box.

lotsa luv ann xxxxx

I love Boaz in purple – and I want to see a photo of you posted in purple too from Israel! Kids should most definitely not have all the fun! You have BEAUTIFUL grandchildren! Hope you had a peaceful Shabbat – and you just never know where things might go with the old flame – if it is meant to be . . .
Love,
Kate

Ah… nothing will happen with the old flame… we are just good friends…. honest!

There is only one for me…..

You’ve been encouraging to me about you know who so I will return the favor: Let them set you up! Go and have fun! You’re only as young as you feel! You only live once! I think that’s all I got for now, but I’ll be back!

Thanks Ann, ~ reading gave encouragement ‘without knowing’ and looking at those gorgeous purple baby pictures you gave me the biggest smile ‘from ear to ear’ this week. G*d I love those, please give his parents a big hug allowing him to do this……

I love Boaz in purple. 🙂
