ROGUES GALLERY

Posted on: 13 October 2006

For new guests to my home let me introduce you to:

.

Rachel, my daughter

Jon, Bridgitte & Moriah, my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter
Boaz & Moriah, my adored, cherished and treasured grandson and granddaughter
Jamie & Moriah, my son with his niece
Lucy, Jamie’s girlfriend & Moriah

I have just deleted what I started writing here… it was sombre and I think I would prefer to post something more amusing and keep my sad news to myself…. so from a little gem of a book called The Little Book of Complete Bollocks, the purpose of which is to do a hatchet job on today’s therapy culture, let me share some gems with you…. oh yes… it is English, typically sarcastic English humour!

These gems really made me laugh:

  • Dysfunctional: A dysfunctional family is not a family that fails to function; a dysfunctonal family is a family that fails to function for you … make your family function for you by asking family members to rub essential oils into your thighs. If anyone refuses, ask them why they feel threatened by your thighs

  • Respecting Your Feet: Your feet deserve more love than they get. Make your feet feel loved and needed by soaking them in a mixture of warm aloe vera juice, jojoba cream, liquidised artichoke hearts and tea tree oil. Afterwards, make a delicious and nourishing soup with it and invite your friends round to share this affirmation of your uniqueness

  • Being You: It’s okay to be you. It’s not okay to be somebody else. Spare a thought for all those people who are somebody else. It must be just awful for them!

  • Important: Feelings of unimportance are often caused by a lack of importance. Banish your feelings of unimportance by becoming President of the United States… (sorry couldn’t resist it)

I have to confess I am very excited about my new blog London~Love~Verse. If you have a penchant for poetry I would welcome your views and criticism, but it is purely my poetry… no pictures there I’m afraid, no mrsbg no Robert E Howard’s powerful poetry… I shall keep that and pics for London~Love just more of my inane ramblings in verse form. Brian I am playing with a poem for you and your penchant ;>)

I wish you all a wonderful weekend, whether you are at home or away and Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom to my fellow B’nai Yisroel

.

P.S. Have you noticed I’m showing off because it has only taken me almost a year to work out how to do this link thingy on a blog and nobody told me what to do… I actually worked it out for myself. Now what I would like to know is how to put on my profile all my blogs like some people do…. hmmm

What a lovely bunch of rogues! Really – a beautiful family.

Thanks for the visit. Hopefully you will stop back to my “main” blog simply said where life is usually a little lighter.

Chag Sameach and Shabbat Shalom. Again best of everything in the new year to you and your beautiful family.

By the way, enjoyed your “Little Book of Complete Bollocks” (but I do love British humor, err humour) and your line about Vincent not responding favourably or not at all just cracked me up (not of course that he didn’t respond…just your response to his non-response).

Okay I’ll leave now.

Oh GQ,

You don’t have to leave, just respond to the non response in your normal responding way and everything will be all right.

Hi Ann,

What a beautiful family you have created. I am sure that they all pale in comparision to their mother, who must be the most beautiful girl in London. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think a thigh and feet rubbing session is perfectly normal and the sign of a well adjusted family. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thank you again for the link to “My Muse”. you must really like my poems. I posted today as both me and Dewy. I am very much looking forward to your new poem. *smack*

Diane and I are going out today to have some fun, thank you for all of your support.

Brian: flattery will get you everywhere, but I am not “the most beautiful girl in London”… I bestow that honour to my daughter who thankfully did not inherit my ugly mug… hence no pics of mama

G: I’m coming over, so watch out!

Thank you for sharing the pics – I’ll echo that you have a beautiful family! But I’m worried about you – what is “the sad news” and can I help?
Love,
Kate

Ann, what beautiful and happy looking children. Your little kindelach are too gorgeous for words and I am sure you derive much nachas from them. Ultimately, everything besides them is Bollocks … right? Shabbat shalom and chag sameach to you all. xox

Awww… your family are all such nice people and it was a pleasure to meet you, Jamie, and Rachel. And Boaz gets cuter and cuter.

Hope your “sad news” isn’t all that bad.

*worries*

Shabbat shalom and chag sameach!

…and all is right with the world for a few moments…
Beautiful, wonderful photos, Ann. Bless you for sharing them!

Good Shabbos Ann. I loved the pictures. Hearing Rachel the other day seemed just like Em with an accent. It truly would not be the eve of Shabbos without my Boaz and now our newest Princess. Talk to you over the weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you for the great laugh! I should try to find that book, it sounds like a hoot.

Your family is gorgeous! The one thing that stood out most is how they all beam with happiness. I mean, you can’t not smile while looking at the pictures; it’s like they are all lit from within. Good job Ann! You should be proud of yourself for raising such a beautiful family.

Now are we ever going to see a picture of you? You asked us to tell you what we thought you looked like, and we did.

I think the ‘Bullocks’ quotes are hil-freakin’-larious! There is a lot of bullocks in education-speak too. My fav is “oh, yes Johnny has Issues.” Which is code for ‘he has a shitty home life and his parents are scumbags who don’t give a rat’s ass about his education.’
Obviously you did a VERY good job with your brood. They are all lovely to look at!

Hi Ann, you’ve been busy while I’ve been away. The kids are great and I’ve just been to your new blog and love it. See you soon…xxx

I must try that foot-soak then share it with my sister (you know, the one who’s too good to speak to the rest of the family)

You have a lovely family Ann, and I think only the English would come up with such a great title for a book! Love it!

beautiful family!

you are blessed ๐Ÿ™‚

Beautiful pics!! What wonderful genes those Ravens have!

Ann, your family is beautiful and are so very fortunate to have a champion like you to lead them through life… Bless you and bless them all.

I pray your sad news isn’t too sad… keeping you in my thoughts, love.

Once again, Ann’s modesty is overwhelming…and unnecessary.
Ann, you have done well,gurrlll!!

Oh, and why no picture of you?
