Locked Out

Something happened
She cannot fathom
Instinct tells her she erred
Feels the void, detached reserve
A wall is growing brick by brick
No way in she can discern
A gentle tap to chip away
A tiny chink that will allow
Entry to his inner sanctum
Chip chip chip she will prevail
Through endurance, perseverance
Whittling with intent to carve
Her sole purpose to unlock
The portal to her lover’s heart

Well Ann, you certainly have unlocked my portal..
How can anyone refuse you anything?
Very Nice……Galen xox

(((rose))) you’re probably right, but I’m not particularly heavy-handed

Ann,
Thanks for stopping by Poetic Alchemist. I really like your poetry. Read several. Nice images throughout and feel.

I thought this was a very strong poem of hopeful love. I need positives in my life, so much negeative goes on around me. Don’t get me wrong, I love all my heartbroken memories. They aren’t heartbreak, when you can smile once more.

Perhaps something a bit stronger is needed. They do say that sometimes a bigger hammer works better. 🙂
Hope you are well sistah.
